A five-year job well done!

The construction of the Good Shepherd School has made spectacular progress since the laying of the foundation stone in October 2007. Lessons began in rudimentary conditions in summer 2009, and the first classrooms were officially opened in April 2010. A huge extension programme got underway in September 2011, in order to accommodate eight new classes, a store-room and residential facilities for the personnel and their families and guests.

The two new upper floors were officially opened on 29th October 2012. The Deputy Commissionner of the Rewari District, Mr Rajini Kanthaan, attended the ceremony with great interest. The SEL was represented by John Mead (coordinator of the Rewari cell-group in Belgium) and Germain and Marianne Mahieu who inaugurated a classroom in memory of their son Jean-Christophe, who died in February 2011.
