An Indian – and international – initiative!

Rewari International is the support group of a humanitarian aid project based in the town of Rewari, 80 km south-west of New Delhi. This local initiative, inspired by Christian values, was launched in 1984 by an Indian couple, Robin et Angeleena Masih.

Following Robin’s « chance meeting » with Pastor Paul Vandenbroeck in 1989, many donors from Belgium – and elsewhere – have joined in the adventure. The partnership with SEL Projets began in 2009.

The work on the ground is carried out BY Indians FOR Indians, regardless of creed, religion or caste. Through a variety of programmes, the Rewari project seeks to :

  • restore human dignity, by meeting the physical, social and spiritual needs of the population;
  • care for the poor and needy in their struggle against poverty;
  • promote solidarity and community development throughout the region.
